@anonymous- there is not a problem. one of the impetuses for this article was discussing the BP list with a friend, and specifically the dilemma between promoting what you like, promoting your friends beer, and pimping your own.. and the blurry lines in between. its meant to be silly more than anything.. a light commentary at best. smile and have a happy new year!!

Funny stuff, Boneman. In all seriousness, I would have loved your 2 cents on what is what. I liked hearing what beers from their brewery that the brewers on the list like because it beholds where their passion is. Further, perhaps if they don't tip their hat to their bosses, they might catch some shit. Ha! I bet if all of the brewery owners that got my email and didn't reply and were too good for us would have likely picked all five as their beers as faves. Alex at Upright was the only brewery owner who replied and was most humble. You made me laugh aloud for the first time all day. Kudos!

Should we declare Ben Edmunds the brewer of the year? I didn't get to try the pumpkin biere de garde, but he made at least five beers this year I'd be happy to call Satori winners--except they were all one-offs.

Embarrassed to say I haven't tried any of your Top 5 Oregon brews, but I have been recommended the Sweet Heat by several people, so it sounds like I should get my ass to Burnside Brewing ASAP.
